Generation and Utilization of TeraHertz radiation (GUTHz)
The FELIX facility has moved to the Radboud University Nijmegen and merged with the free-electron laser FLARE currently being commissioned (see here for more details).
The acronym GUTHz expands to Generation and Utilization of TeraHertz radiation, the common theme of the activities unfolded within this department:
- Exploitation of the free-electron laser based IR User facility FELIX
- FELICE, acronym for Free Electron Laser for Intra-Cavity Experiments, an important extension of FELIX
- 'Action spectroscopy' of clusters and complex molecules by the Molecular Dynamics group, primarily using the output of FELIX

Internships
This section is about internships in the GUTHz department; for general information, see the (Dutch language) page on intern positions.
The GUTHz department offers students the opportunity of doing an internship within an academic research environment. Students from Dutch technical schools or universities are welcome to participate in our research, with their stay lasting anywhere between a few weeks and a full year. For more details see here >
